Dressed to the Nines...Meet Jonathan Lai, San Francisco

Everything about Jonathan's suit is so right. I love how he brings such a classic look with a kick of modern twist to it. I wasn't able to ask him if the suit was MTM, but it looks like it was made for him. It's been a long time since I've seen someone pressed so well. I've been working on a list of "The 10 Essentials of a Man's Wardrobe" The iron is definitely on that list. A mans best friend should be his iron. Johnathan definitely shows that.

I would say that this gent has the sartorial game down to a T. However any well dressed man knows you never wear your sportcoat undone. The suite in proper fit is the ultimate thing for a mans physic and appearance. By wearing it open you take away what the suite is trying to accomplish. But BEAUTIFUL besides that.

I agree with you. That is the one rule that should always be followed. But in this case I feel that it can be broken. Look at the way the coat falls on his body. It's perfect. The trousers break is to the T. If the suit did not fit him as well as it does. I would say button it up. But it does fit him. So let it go. Anyhow great photo again Ezra. Love the shoes. It is hot in San Francisco, feels like Summer. Mr. Lai is in season.

Will Boehlke, of A Suitable Wardrobe, purports Jonathan to be "obsessive" about his wardrobe. To find out more about his suit, check the ASW blog for recent guest posts by Mr. Lai.
